Work packages for the HMC (Human Machine Communication) project

Before data collection, several work packages were defined. For each work package a preregistration was published. This file contains an overview of them.

Pregistrations for different work packages

WP03

  • Description: This WP examines whether the perception of communicative AI as tool vs. social actor and the modality via which it is used (text, voice, both) are related to cognitive self-esteem.

WP04

  • Description: This WP examines how viewing AI in a formal (e.g., colleague) versus an informal role (e.g., partner) influences peoples self-efficacy in using AI for creative and problem-solving tasks over time. It also examines whether perceptions of enjoyment, intelligence, usefulness, and overall attitudes to AI contribute to explaining these changes in self-efficacy.
